Bengaluru: In order to encourage organ donation, the government is thinking of conducting the funeral of organ donors with all state honours. Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has given information about this and said that the government is thinking of formulating a policy in this regard soon.
He shared information about this through a tweet and said that the state government has thought of recognizing and honoring the individuals and their families who help save the lives of others by donating organs on a humanitarian basis without any recompense.
He informed that the government is also looking into honoring the individuals or families who donate organs by giving certificates and conducting the funeral of organ donors with all government honors on the Tamil Nadu model. Through this, the government will soon frame a policy to publicize the importance of organ donation and encourage more people to participate in the organ donation process.
