Four people were killed and more than 80 injured as a result of a train derailment and rolling down at Baskaranalli in Bihar. The train derailed around 10 pm on Wednesday night and more than 6 passengers overturned. The Northeast Express train, which was traveling from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi to Kamakhya in Assam, derailed near Raghunathpur in Baskar. More than 80 people were injured in the accident and admitted to the local hospital.
The rescue operation is in full swing. DCM Tejashwi Yadav said that hospitals are on alert. A helpline is also provided. In this regard, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav responded that the rescue operation has been fully cleared and the rescue operation has been completed. All coaches are checked. The passengers will soon be shifted to a special train for their onward journey, Vaishnav informed on X.
