Stone pelting at moving train and carrying of inflammable material in train has happened and continues to happen many times. Therefore, Vairutya Railway has organized a special awareness program in Bengaluru Division for a month-long program to create awareness and conduct operations against them. A team of RPF officers from Bangalore division officers, staff, Railway Protection Force is conducting the operation. They are doing street plays and other cultural programs to create awareness among the public. Stone pelting on trains is a criminal offense punishable with fine, imprisonment for up to five years, and carrying inflammable material on the train is punishable with imprisonment for up to 3 years and fine, railway officials said.
Also in this special awareness drive, an awareness song and skit against stone pelting on moving train and against carrying of inflammable material in train by Shree Beerappa,OS/RPF, Shree Govinda Swamy ASI RPF and team members were performed at Malleswaram station under the guidance of Senior Divisional Safety Commissioner Shri Devansha Shukla. . Not only this, this awareness program has been organized in total 7 places.
