Multilingual actress Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video which has gone viral on social media is making a lot of news. Not only that, it is an issue that all women are worried about. There is a lot of opposition in the color world about this, and many including veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar have reacted. Even Rashmika herself has shared her pain on social media.

In a video shared by a British Indian woman named Zara Patil on Instagram, Rashmika Mandanna’s face has been matched using artificial intelligence instead of Zara Patil’s face. At first glance this video does not seem to be decent in dress.

Rashmika has tweeted about this and said, “It hurts me to share this. I have to talk about my deepfake video that is going viral online. This kind of thing is not only for me but honestly how technology is being misused is very scary for all of us who are vulnerable today.”

“I am grateful as a woman and an actress today to my family, friends and well-wishers who have come to my rescue and support. But I can’t really imagine how I would have coped with this when I was in school or college,” expressed Rashmika.

We as a community need to urgently address this today, before more of us fall victim to such identity theft,” urged Rashmika Mandanna.

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, who has tweeted on X, “He has demanded strict action under the law. Apart from that, Union Information Technology Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar has also responded to the video. “The Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to protecting the safety and trust of digital citizens using the Internet.
