Six people were killed in a massive fire accident that broke out in a multi-storied building in Goregaon here early this morning. 40 people were injured in the incident.
One man, five women and two children are among the six people who died in the fire. Out of the 40 people injured, 12 are men and 28 are women, and one is a minor. The injured have been admitted to HBT and Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.
A fire broke out in the Jai Bhavani building in West Azad Nagar area of Goregaon around 3 am. Officials said that an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire accident.
