CM orders to supply 7-hour three-phase electricity to farmers’ pump sets from today

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a progress review meeting of Energy Department officials at Home Office Krishna. In this meeting it was decided to provide electricity for 7 hours every day to agricultural pump sets so as not to burden the government.
The meeting chaired by Siddaramaiah was attended by senior officials of various departments including Energy Minister KJ George, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Nazir Ahmed. In the meeting, the electricity problem caused in the state due to lack of rain was discussed at length.
