Hassan: The countdown has started for Hassanambe, the deity of Hassan who will be blessed with Darshan Bhagya only once a year. This year’s fair will be held from today to November 15. The doors of the sanctum sanctorum of the goddess will be opened ritually after 12.30 pm today, the first day of Ashweeja month, after the cutting of the banana pole.
There will be no public darshan on the first and last day when the doors of the sanctum sanctorum are opened. Only thirteen days in a fortnight Mother Hassanambe is going to grant darshan to the devotees 24*7. This time the Jatra Mahotsav is special and the district administration has organized heli-tourism, para-sailing, para-motor and chopper flights.
