Woman laborer killed in lone gun attack

Chikkamagaluru: The incident in which a woman was killed in a forest attack took place in Hededalu village near Aldur in the district. The deceased woman has been identified as Veena (45). An elephant attacked a woman while she was going to work in a coffee plantation. This time the woman tried to escape. But not possible. This time the elephant attacked and trampled the woman’s head.
The woman was seriously injured and died on the spot. About 7 wildebeests have camped around the coffee plantation for the past few days. Due to this, it is difficult for villagers and laborers to move around. The locals have urged the forest department to drive away the elephants from the place.
