Mysore: Husband kills pregnant wife by slitting throat

A case of murdering a pregnant wife after torturing her for money has taken place in Chamalapur Hundi near Nanjangud. The murdered woman has been identified as Shobha (26). Her husband Manjunath (27) is accused of murder. The accused came drunk and tortured him for money. Later, it is alleged that he slit the woman’s neck and killed her. He has been taken into custody by the police.
They both fell in love with each other and got married 8 years ago. The couple has a five-year-old son. Shobha had gone to her hometown because she was heavily pregnant. During this time, the accused used to fight with his wife to bring money from home. Also, his wife, who had come to take care of the delivery, was not coming home, so he cut her throat with a blade. Sobhar was immediately admitted to Nanjangud hospital. Later he was shifted to KR Hospital in Mysore for further treatment. But she died without treatment. A case has been registered in Nanjangudu town police station in this regard.
