There is no question of central government intervening in the Cauvery issue. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu should sit together and discuss. Through this, he suggested that the solution to the problem is dialogue between the two states.
Speaking to reporters in the city, he said that the state government has taken a wrong step in the Cauvery issue from the beginning, and now there is no question of the intervention of the Prime Minister and the central government in this matter. In spite of all this, we are giving maximum cooperation to the state government. He said there was no need to say that he would release 2500 cusecs of water before the Cauvery Water Management Authority.
