Kolar: Kolar Women’s Police Station personnel rescued a newborn baby who had been stolen from the maternity ward of Kolar SNR District Hospital. A woman has been arrested among the accused of stealing a child. On Thursday evening around four o’clock, when the mother was sleeping in the ward, three unknown women ambushed and stole the child. Three women hid a newborn baby boy in a college bag without anyone knowing and ran away. The scene of him coming out of the hospital and getting into the car was caught on the CCTV camera.
The Kolar Women’s Station police, who came to know about the matter, rescued the child near Berike in Tamil Nadu. The police have arrested one accused and are searching for the rest of the accused. Four days old Kandamma joins mother’s lap. The mother shed tears after seeing the child. The mother hugs the baby and is happy. A case has been registered at the Kolar Women’s Police Station.
