After the Supreme Court’s order to release water to Tamil Nadu, the anger of the food producers has erupted in Mandya district. In spite of this, Cauvery flowed into Tamil Nadu and 5 thousand TMC of water was released on Friday. 3 thousand cusec water has been released from KRS reservoir to Tamilnadu. Out of the seepage and channel water, 3,000 cusecs was diverted to Tamil Nadu and the remaining 2,000 cusecs of water was diverted from Kabini. A total of 5,734 cusecs of water has been released from the KRS reservoir to Tamil Nadu and canals.
